Srinivasan Services Trust (SST), is the social arm of TVS Motor Company and TVS Holdings Limited.

  • To take our model of empowerment and transformational change to as many villages as possible in India, so they become sustainable and self-reliant. We will reach this goal by partnering with the government and other like-minded organizations working together to create a prosperous rural India.


SST works in 2500 villages across 5 states in India: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. SST does this by helping villagers find solutions that are sustainable in areas ranging from women empowerment, water conservation, infrastructure repairs (repairing healthcare & education facilities), agriculture & livestock practices improvement and environment conservation.

Women empowerment

SST helps in converting idle time of women into value through

  • Collectivising women in self-Help Groups (SHGs)
  • Skilling and empowering through entrepreneurship
  • Developing Financial and digitally literacy for women
  • Supporting in market linkages for rural products.

Water Conservation

  • Encouraging water conservation
  • Restoring capacity of tanks and channels by desilting

Working with organizations such as Indian Geoinformatics Centre and Anna University to determine suitable conservation strategies


Infrastructure repairs

  • Renovating rural government infrastructure to realise the intended benefits
  • Creating a safe environment for children in schools and pre-schools
  • Creating access to functional and hygienic toilets in schools
  • Creating accessible health care facilities in rural India.

Agriculture & Livestock practices improvement

  • Reducing waste by optimal use of inputs and modern protocols and semi-mechanization
  • Creating awareness on proper protocol of practises in agri and dairy management
  • Facilitating government schemes for farmers to reduce their input cost and increase the yield
  • Renovating veterinary centres in rural areas.
  • Facilitating government veterinary camps in villages

Environment preservation

  • Creating awareness about the impact of individual actions on the environment
  • Conducting campaigns and educational programmes on water and environmental Conservation
  • Supporting Tiger reserves in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka
  • Creating awareness and providing nesting boxes for sparrow conservation in villages
